Summary:Provides communication and administrative support between hospital and external customers for the Facilities/Support Services (EVS, Plant Operations/Laundry) division by using interventional and critical thinking skills. Ensures continuous and effective service of hospital operations. Provides administrative and clerical support to the AVP of Facilities and EVS Director/Manager.
Responsibilities:
1.R
eceives incoming calls from customers; prioritizes, dispatches and follows up to completion.
2. Evaluates all potential problems and situations from incoming phone calls or from the monitoring of building management systems and emergency alarm systems i.e. fire alarm, medical gas alarms, generator alarms, laundry & EVS needs.
3. Monitors activity of outside contractors within the building through sign in process.
4. Enters work orders into equipment management system, cerner, closes out work orders, adds new equipment into equipment database, and runs work logs and reports.
5. Enters purchase orders into Infor for plant services, EVS and Laundry as assigned.
6. Provides clerical support to the AVP of Facilities and EVS Director/Manager i.e. schedules meetings, periodically assists with a presentation, enters information on spreadsheets for tracking of utility costs and determining plant efficiencies.
7. Contributes to continuous performance improvement.
8. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
9. Assigns cleaning requests and monitors Capacity management. Ensures proper room turn around times.
